THANK YOU MANUELA!!

Aunque se ha acabado el curso, en el Colegio aún estamos con actividades que corresponden al trabajo cotidiano del Centro. Por ejemplo, mañana empiezan los exámenes extraordinarios de la PAU y acompañaremos al alumnado que se presenta, más de 20 profesoras y profesores del Colegio están en Madrid en un Congreso de Educación y aún estamos trabajando en la documentación e informes que hay que presentar a la Consejería. 

Por lo tanto, no es extraño que también nosotros continuemos con la puesta al día del Blog para contaros sobre estas y otras muchas actividades que han quedado pendientes de presentaros debido a la inmensa cantidad de trabajo que ha habido que realizar durante estos últimos meses.

Vamos  a empezar con un reconocimiento y una despedida. 

Como muchos sabréis, durante este pasado curso hemos tenido una ayuda a la hora de dar impartir la materia de Inglés en la forma de una estudiante de Erasmus que cada cierto tiempo les daba clases a nuestro alumnado de Primaria y Secundaria para complementar los contenidos que ofrecían los profesores del Centro.

Su nombre es Manuela y le queremos agradecer su labor y el cariño que ha mostrado a nuestro alumnado. Sinceramente ¡¡muchísimas gracias Manuela!! Deseamos que te vaya todo muy bien y que disfrutes de cada momento lo máximo posible. ¡Ojalá nos veamos pronto!

A continuación os dejamos una pequeña dinámica que realizaron un grupo de alumnas y alumnos de 1º de ESO en forma de entrevista a la propia Manuela. Que sirva para que todos la podamos conocer un poco más.

We are a group of students who are studying our first year of Secondary. This year we have had a new teacher from Austria, her name is Manuela and we have interviewed her. She arrived in Spain in October.

She taught us lots of things about Austria and now we want talk to her to know more things about her and her country.

- Hello Manuela! Are you having a good time in Asturias?

- Yes, of course. I remember when I first went to the beach and it was full of people, it was so crowded that I couldn´t see the sand. I was impossible to walk. There were

- Why did you choose Gijón?

- I didn´t choose the town or the school. When I started my classes at the University, they told me. I had a meeting and an interview and then I was told the name of the

- How was your trip to Gijón?

- I was not nervous. I´ve travelled a lot so I was OK. The only problem was that my bags

were lost and when I arrived in Oviedo, I had no luggage. I only had my backpack, the

other two pieces of luggage arrived one day later.

- Have you got time to visit famous places in Asturias?

- Yes, I have. One of my best friends came in December and we visited lots of places,

for example Covadonga, los lagos, Cangas de Onís, lots of beaches…

- Have you ever been to Spain before?

- Yes. The first time I was in Spain I was in Barcelona for one week. Last summer I was

in Madrid, Valencia, Granada. I´ve been to the “Tomatina” in Buñol. It was absolutely

- Where do you study in Austria?

- I study at the University of Insbruck.

- What do you miss from your country?

- Family and friends. At the beginning, I missed little things like food, but I found a special store where I find anything I need to cook, things I don´t find in a supermarket.

- What´s your favourite place at the school?

- I don´t have a favourite. I like either the teacher´s room and the classes.

- What do you think about the level of English of the students at the school?

- It depends on the class. It changes from class to class. At the beginning the students were very shy and they didn´t talk to me, but after a while they started to ask more

- What´s your favourite food?

- I love Italian food. I like sushi, seafood…

- Do you like Spanish food?

- I do. I love it. I like seafood and I Iike, how do you say that? Is it “cachopo”? Yes,

- What do you think about Spanish times, especially mealtimes? Do you find it hard to

- Very, very difficult. In Austria we eat 3 hours earlier.

- What are your favourite interests?

- I like hiking, yoga, climbing, skiing.

- Yes, a lot. I enjoy practising sports.
